These terms cover your use of the ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ Android app ("the App"), published by Gregor Nelson, an individual developer in the United Kingdom ("the Developer"). The App is free, with no ads and no accounts. By installing or using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall it.

1. Licence

The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control. The Developer keeps all rights in the App, its name, logo and design. Third-party components are covered by their own licences (section 7).

3. What the App Does

The App replaces your home screen: it lists the apps installed on your device and launches them, with optional appearance and gesture settings. It has no network access and collects no data. It does not modify or remove other apps. You can change or remove it as your default launcher at any time in Android Settings. Details of what it accesses are in the Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Names and Icons

App names and icons shown by the App belong to their respective owners. Built-in icon packs restyle icons on your device only. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of those owners, or by Google.

5. No Warranty

The App is free and is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, the Developer gives no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suit a particular purpose, or that it will work on every device or Android version, including customised versions supplied by phone makers. A launcher is the screen you return to, so know how to reach Android's settings or switch back to your previous launcher before relying on any launcher.

6. Limit of Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Developer is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the App, including lost settings, misconfiguration or being unable to reach an app. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

7. Open-Source Components and Fonts

The App uses open-source software, including Jetpack Compose, AndroidX libraries and the Kotlin standard library (Apache License 2.0), and bundles fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The full list is in the App under Advanced → Open source licences.

8. Distribution and Support

The App is distributed through Google Play, and your use of Google Play is subject to Google's terms. Google is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to support the App. Support is on a best-effort basis by email. The Developer does not promise updates, response times or continued availability, and may stop developing or distributing the App at any time. Uninstalling the App ends your licence.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and the mandatory consumer protections of that country still apply.

10. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and the Developer about the App.

11. Changes

The Developer may update these terms, for example if the App changes. The current version is always on this page with its date. If a change is material the Developer will say so in the App's release notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.
