ἀλήθεια is the Greek word for truth. Literally, it means un-concealment: something no longer hidden. The aim is a home screen that does not bury what you meant to do under notifications, suggestions and feeds.
No analytics, no usage data, no accounts. The app requests no INTERNET permission, so this can be checked rather than taken on trust. It works best when you spend as little time in it as possible.
Apps are listed because they are installed, not because something predicts you will open them. There is no ranking that learns, no suggestions and no recent-apps list.
Every element has to help you find and open an app. Anything that does not, such as badges, counters or animation for its own sake, is left out.
Every installed app in a single vertical list. No grids, folders or widgets.
Drag down the side of the screen to jump straight to a letter.
Use an installed icon pack, or adjust the shape and style of icons yourself.
Long-press an app to rename it, hide it from the list or open its system info.
The app does not request the INTERNET permission, so it cannot send data anywhere. You can check this in the manifest.
Built to start quickly and use little battery. There are no background services.
Free, with no ads, accounts or upgrade tier.
Requires Android 8.0 or later
